My saviour

My Saviourπ«
There are moments in life when the noise becomes too loud, the silence too heavy, and the shadows far too long. I’ve had those days—when getting out of bed felt like lifting a mountain, and smiling seemed like a forgotten language. But in those quiet, breaking moments, I found something—or rather, someone—that pulled me back from the edge. This is not a story of dramatic rescue, but of gentle redemption. This is the story of my saviour.π₯π¦
Not all saviours wear capes. Mine didn’t come crashing through a wall or descend from a heavenly sky. They appeared in the form of unwavering presence, of words unspoken but deeply felt. My saviour came as a friend who listened without judgment. A sibling who saw through my smiles. A stranger’s kind words on a particularly hard day. My saviour was not one person, but a tapestry of moments, stitched together with love, empathy, and timing.π¨π¬
There was a time I believed that strength meant doing it all alone. I wore my independence like armor—impressive, shiny, but cold. Then life, as it does, hit hard. I realized that even the strongest hearts can tire, and even the brightest minds can cloud. It was then that I learned the greatest strength sometimes lies in allowing someone else to see your weaknessππ.
My saviour was the late-night call that didn’t end in advice, but in silence and shared breathing. The handwritten note left on my desk that read, “You matter.” It was my dog laying its head on my lap when I felt invisible. It was the song that played at just the right time, the book that held the words I couldn’t find for myself.ππ
I used to think salvation had to be grand. But now I know better✌π.
It’s in the little things. The text that says, “Just checking in.” The teacher who believed in me when I didn’t. The morning coffee made just how I like it. The arms that didn’t let go, even when I pushed them away. The forgiveness I never thought I deserved✌πΆ.
Today, I walk lighter. Not because life is easier, but because I’m no longer carrying it all alone. I’ve been saved in quiet, gentle ways, and in turn, I’ve found ways to be someone else’s saviour. Sometimes, saving someone doesn't mean fixing them—it means standing beside them until they find the strength to fix themselves.π―πͺ
So, to my saviour—whoever you were, in whatever form you came—thank you. You may never know the life you touched, but I carry your kindness like a torch, lighting the way for myself and maybe, one day, for someone else who’s in the dark.
Because sometimes, all it takes to be a saviour is to stay.ππ
